It took me a long time to get here.

​

I started practicing yoga as a form of fitness as so many of us are introduced to it in this format. I would sweat and crank myself into shapes I was told to make and occasionally there would be an allusion to something more as I tried to catch my breath on my rubber mat. I was being told what to do and when, but not why and I was told that I was supposed to feel calm, but I didn't. Not at all. I actually would often leave more stressed than when I came in and a few times I left class injured. I wanted to know why.

I ventured past public yoga studios and starting looking for something I couldn't  put a name to. It took a long time to unwind myself from the 'image" of what yoga looked like and to find the people that were asking the same questions and teaching all of the many aspects that make up a yoga practice.

We are often so enveloped by our work, study, sports, families and appointments that we are utterly stressed out and drained and shut down. 

I facilitate one on one sessions that give people space to unravel some of that "stuff", through simple, accessible  activities to help refocus the mind's movements. This is a practice that can help in every part of your life and I am excited to share it.
